Message from the Chief
On behalf of the men and women of the Newtown Department of Police Services, welcome to this website. The department is pleased to have an opportunity to present integral components of the organization on this website. We are committed to providing dedicated service to the community and this website will enhance our commitment to quality community policing.
We hope these interactive pages will provide the communication link between the Newtown Police Department and its citizens, allowing access to various public services without leaving home. This website also displays various documents and organizational substructures which we feel will augment the community’s unique perspective of its primary law enforcement agency.
The website adds an extra avenue of communication to the community at large, however, we firmly believe that the officers themselves provide the best opportunity to strengthen our ties to the public. We encourage the public and our police officers to partner together on community concerns and problems. There can be no substitute to this type of community policing for it best represents the overall commitment and dedication to our mission statement.
