CITIZENS' POLICE ACADEMY XXV

What?

The Citizen's Police Academy is a very popular program that takes students on a deep dive into the daily operations, procedures, equipment, and staff of the Newtown Police Department. It runs for 10 weeks and explores a variety of topics. Students leave with a better understanding of their local police department, and a broader perspective on law enforcement. It is historically an unforgettable and eye-opening experience and receives outstanding reviews.

What to Expect

-Meets weekly, on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8pm. September 17th 2025.

-Mix of informational and interactive presentations by experts from NPD as well as local Law Enforcement Partners.

-Includes a ride-along with a Newtown Patrol Officer.

-Program is free and open to adults 18 or older. Preference is given to Newtown Residents.

-Space is limited to 25 participants.
