Complete the form then turn it in to the Chief's office by:

  • Mailing it "ATTN: Internal Affairs - Chief Kullgren"
  • Emailing it to David.Kullgren@newtown-ct.gov
  • Dropping it off in person to a Police Supervisor

Bad Check Instructions: If you've been issued a bad check, download and complete this form, following all instruction, then file a complaint in person at the Newtown PD. 


Vacant House Form: Complete this form to notify the PD you are out of state in case of an emergency at your residence. 


Autism Safety Alert Form: Complete this form to notify the PD of someone at your residence with autism and ways to respond.


Officer Commendation Form: If you would like to recognize the positive experience you had with an officer, complete this form and return it to the PD.

Police Commission

The Board of Police Commissioners is composed of five members serving four-year terms (not more than three from one political party).


The Board of Police Commissioners appoint the Chief of Police and appoint, promote, suspend and remove officers of the Police Department. The Board of Police Commissioners also serves as the traffic authority of the Town. 


If you wish to submit any written matter to the Board of Police Commissioners to be considered for inclusion in the minutes of any meeting please attend the monthly meeting of the Board. 


The meetings are typically held at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of every month at the Newtown Police Department headquarters but check the official town calendar on the homepage for up-to-date meeting information.
